About THAPP

THAPP (To Help All People Prosper) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope, dignity, and stability to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in the DMV area.

We believe that housing is the foundation for everything else. Without a safe place to live, it is nearly impossible to heal, find steady employment, care for family, or plan for the future. THAPP exists to bridge that gap — not with temporary fixes, but with real, sustainable solutions.

Through transitional housing and supportive services, we help people move from crisis to stability. Our work goes beyond providing a roof. We connect individuals and families to counseling, job readiness support, financial literacy resources, and community partnerships that empower them to rebuild their lives with confidence and purpose.

At THAPP, we meet people where they are — with compassion, respect, and accountability. We understand that homelessness is not a lack of effort or character, but often the result of unexpected hardship, systemic barriers, and life-altering circumstances. Our role is to walk alongside those we serve as they take the next step forward.
